The REMAP consortium held its kick-off meeting in San Sebastián on March 12, 2026, bringing together representatives from POLYMAT, POLYKEY, Arkema and the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour.
The meeting marked the beginning of a three-year cross-border collaboration to accelerate the production of sustainable polymers through renewable chemistry, machine learning and industrial validation.
A shared scientific roadmap
Partners reviewed the project governance, communication framework and first-year scientific plan. The technical discussion focused on the development of bio-based monomers and polymers, the experimental data required for predictive models, and the route from laboratory work to pilot-scale production.
